Overview
Knights are the chapter’s basic foot soldiers and mechanics. Their duties range from performing simple repairs to fighting whole battles for the Brotherhood of Steel.
Duties
- Secure Dangerous Technology: Engage with various factions, settlements, and individuals to secure technology that could prove damaging to the world.
- Secure Diplomacy: Use your firepower and talking skills to produce good relationships with the other factions.
- Fight For Your Unit: You are a footsoldier made to fight. Follow your paladin's orders and try your best to fight for the Brotherhood.
- Expand Influence: Build strong relationships across the Wasteland to grow the BoS's network. Reputation is valuable, and friendships can be usefull.
- Follow Command's Orders: Above all else the paldin's and commander's orders come first; second only to the codex.
Tips for Knights
There are many resources already in the base; but you will probably have to explore looking for more to make a functioning scout team.
Once you have an idea about your possibilities, objects and missions, it's time to get to work;
- Remeber the codex and be practical, your paladin and commander can be relied upon.
- Don't start fights with factions. It is not your jobs to declare war, your commander will do it with elder (admin) permission if needed.
- You're not a commandering officer; your job it to protect the Brotherhood and help them with their mission. You are the fighter, not the leader.
Faction Relationships
New California Republic: Neutral; They often come to compromises with eachother to avoid uneeded war, and are usually diplomatic.
Washington Brotherhood of Steel Hostile; The Washington BoS is a breakoff chapter from the Midwest and are radically dangerous.
Vault Fourteen: Neutral; they often have information and tech needed for the Brotherhood's mission and it's your choice how to approach.
Raiders & Tribals: Hostile; raiders and tribals are often viewed as vermin.
Caravan Company: Neutral; they will trade when needed but do not have a large relationship. The Caravan is closer with the NCR and locals than the BoS.
Oasis: Neutral; unless they have something they need, the BoS rarely will interact with them and
Tips for Success
- Stay Connected: Use your radios and headsets to your advantage.
- Watch Out for Scams: Not all wasteland dwellers have the best intentions; be cautious when making trades with unknown parties.
- Diplomacy: Be in touch almost immediately with the Factions. This can help in the long run.
